Middle English pot-sherd, from pot + sherd shard, or a piece of fired clay or broken earthenware.
A piece of ceramic, often from pottery, frequently found on an archeological site.
In the next 11 years, our planet will change dramatically. Climate change, war, resource depletion, and all of it’s ramifications, will take a great toll on our civilizations. When future civilizations want to know what happened to us, these shards will tell that story, and what we did - and didn’t do - to contribute to the crisis, or perhaps avert it.
